What is a BERMI?

BERMI is an inconic little car brand owned by Localmotion Ltd. Featuring a range of ovverings from our original 'BERMI' to the YOYO-MAX, SWIZZLE and the HURCN. They are all BERMI's but each have their own Bermuda inspired names. We hope you like them.

What license do I need for a BERMI?

For rentals a valid foreign or local drivers license is required.

A Bermuda's drivers license is required to own a BERMI.

Can Bermi be used to take a TCD driving test ?

We are working on this and if it is possible.

 

What is the cost of insurance ?

For rentals, $5.00 per day for third party cover.

$15.00 per day collision insurance which limits the renters liability to up to $3.000.00 as opposed to $15,000.00 for any damage incurred.

Insurance rates a are included in the rental price for each BERMI.

 

To purchase a BERMI do I need a separate assessment number ?

Yes at this point., However, we have made a proposal to government to allow a second vehicle on the same assessment number as long as vehicle is electric and is  a micro-car. We are awaiting the outcome.

 

Can I use a regular outlet to charge the battery?

Yes. Rentals can use a 110V and / or a 220V charge supply.

For privately owned BERMI's there is a choice of charge cords for either charging voltage. 

 

How long does the battery last ?

Depending on your choice of BERMI you can get anywhere from 100 to 180 miles per charge.

Can I rent a Bermi ?

Yes. We currently operate out of our Hamilton location on Happy Valley Road. St George location opening soon.
